Uttarakhand To Abolish Madrasa Board, Restructure Minority Education

Uttarakhand’s governor has approved the Minority Education Bill, 2025, which will dismantle the madrasa board and require all madrasas to affiliate with the state Board of School Education and gain recognition from the new Minority Education Authority. The bill aims to bring minority institutions into mainstream schooling under NEP standards.
