Railways Ban Flammable Items To Ensure Passenger Safety

Railway authorities have reiterated that carrying flammable items such as firecrackers and gas cylinders in trains is strictly prohibited to ensure passenger safety. Violators face up to three years of imprisonment or fines under Sections 164 and 165 of Railway Act. However, passengers are permitted to carry ghee up to 20 kg if packed in sealed tin containers.
