Court Grants Bail To Sanjay Raut In Defamation Case

A sessions court in Mumbai granted bail to Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut in a defamation case. He challenged his conviction in a defamation case filed by BJP leader Kirit Somaiya’s wife Medha Somaiya. Raut filed a revision application against his conviction and the 15-day jail sentence. He appeared before the court and sought bail. The court granted him bail in the sum of ₹50,000.
