The sons of Sri Guru Gobind Singh, Sahibzadas Baba Zorawar Singh ji and Baba Fateh Singh ji, were martyred, and on Tuesday in Raipur, Vishnu Deo Sai, the chief minister of Chhattisgarh, participated in the “Veer Bal Diwas” festival. We remember Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh, sons of Guru Gobind Singh, who, at the tender ages of nine and six, respectively, shed their lives in defense of their faith. The fact that Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared December 26 to be Veer Bal Diwas last year to honor the martyrdom of the Guru’s sons on Prakash Parv’s anniversary brings us immense joy. The Chhattisgarh chief minister went on, “This ensures that Veer Bal Diwas will be celebrated yearly with the utmost reverence and that their sacrifice will live on in our nation’s memory forever. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended “Veer Bal Diwas” and honored Guru Granth Sahib by carrying the Holy Book atop his head during an event at his official residence in Lucknow.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated earlier on Tuesday that Indians were growing more proud of their history and that the outside world now viewed them differently during a speech at an event honoring “Veer Bal Divas” in the country’s capital. Declaring that the country now has more faith and confidence in its citizens’ abilities, objectives, and aspirations, PM Modi promoted his vision of a new India. PM Modi went on, “Today’s India has more faith in the confidence, ability, and potential of its citizens.” We can’t afford to lose any time at all. These teachings came to us from the (Sikh) gurus. It should be our life’s mission to uphold and restore the honor and dignity of our nation.
PM Modi said, “We have to live for the betterment of the nation.” He said that the martyrdom of Mata Gujri, Guru Gobind Singh Ji, and their four Sahibzadas inspired every Indian. Daycare centers and schools across the country will include a digital exhibit about the life and sacrifice of the Sahibzades. There will also be a national film showing of “Veer Baal Diwas.” Interactive quiz shows and other online competitions will be held on the MYBharat and MyGov portals.
