Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy declared three candidates for the Rajya Sabha polls. According to the Election Commission of India, the nomination process began on Thursday, February 8, and the last date for filing nominations for the Rajya Sabha polls is February 15.
However, the Rajya Sabha elections are scheduled for February 27, 2024, and the deadline for withdrawing from the race is February 20. Meanwhile, Ravindra Kumar (TDP), CM Ramesh (BJP), and Prabhakar Reddy (YSRCP) from Andhra Pradesh will end their tenure very soon in Rajya Sabha.
The ruling Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) supremo, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, revealed on Thursday three names as the party’s candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha polls. The three candidates are: YV Subba Reddy, Golla Baburao, and Meda Raghunath Reddy. The 3 YSRCP also met CM Jagan at CM’s office and thanked him.
On the other side, Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy is likely to visit Delhi and meet BJP national leaders ahead of the Lok Sabha polls. It is known that along with the 18th Lok Sabha polls, Andhra Pradesh will go to assembly polls in April 2024.
