Karnataka Schools Closed Till Oct 18 To Complete Caste Survey

Karnataka has declared holidays for government and aided schools from October 8 to 18 to complete the ongoing caste survey. Teachers conducting the survey are needed full-time, except those handling mid-term exams. The delay led to the extension. CM Siddaramaiah also announced ₹20 lakh compensation for three staff members who died during the survey work.
