NHRC Orders Probe Into Child Deaths From Contaminated Cough Syrup

The NHRC has issued notices to Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh, directing probes into children’s deaths caused by contaminated cough syrup. It also instructed the DCGI, CDSCO, DGHS, and Health Ministry to investigate spurious drug supplies, ban harmful medicines immediately, and ensure regional labs test samples and report findings promptly.
