DY Chandrachud Bids Farewell As Chief Justice Of India With Reflections On His Legacy

On his final day as Chief Justice of India, DY Chandrachud expressed gratitude and contentment, stating, “I won’t be able to deliver justice from tomorrow, but I am content.” Reflecting on his tenure, he compared judges to pilgrims committed to serving justice. He requested forgiveness for any unintentional hurt caused during his time on the bench. Justice Sanjiv Khanna will succeed him as the 51st CJI.
