Thai Parliament Elects Anutin As New Prime Minister

Thailand’s parliament has elected Anutin Charnvirakul, a member of the Bhumjaithai Party, as the new Prime Minister. He previously served in the coalition govt led by Shinawatra. This marks Thailand’s third PM in two years, following the Constitutional Court’s removal of former PM Shinawatra from office earlier this year over legal issues.
