US Grants India 6-Month Relief To Continue Chabahar Port Work

India has been granted a six-month US sanctions waiver to continue developing Iran’s Chabahar Port, the MEA confirmed. The port is vital for India’s trade access to Afghanistan and Central Asia. The exemption reflects Washington’s recognition of Chabahar’s importance. India also reiterated it will continue energy decisions based on national interest.
