5.3-Magnitude Quake In Afghanistan Jolts Kashmir Valley

Earthquake tremors measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale, with an epicentre in Afghanistan’s Badakhshan province, were felt across Kashmir Valley today. Disaster management officials said the quake occurred 190 km deep, at coordinates 36.55°N and 70.92°E. Kashmir lies in a seismically active zone and remains highly vulnerable to earthquakes.
