Imam Booked For Disrespecting National Flag In UP

A 37-year-old imam in Kaushambi, UP, was booked for hoisting an Islamic flag higher than the national flag atop a mosque minaret. Police say this act insulted the tricolour’s honour. The flag was promptly removed, and a case was filed under the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971.
