Today, Dec 15, marks the death anniversary of Potti Sriramulu, the immortal freedom fighter who sacrificed his life for the self-respect of the Telugu people. After a 58-day hunger strike demanding a separate Andhra state from Madras, he passed away on 15 Dec 1952. His sacrifice paved the way for the formation of AP, earning him the title ‘Father of Andhra’.
