In the Maharashtra results, early trends showed BJP-led Mahayuti taking a massive lead in the agrarian belt. Mahayuti is ahead in over 40 of the 62 Assembly seats in Vidarbha. This is home to a large chunk of both large- and small-scale farmers. Vidarbha has the second-highest number of assembly seats after western Maharashtra. It is home to BJP veterans like Devendra Fadnavis, Nitin Gadkari.
