Congress Seeks Suo Motu Action On Sambhal Judge Transfer

The Congress criticized the BJP-led government over the transfer of Sambhal Chief Judicial Magistrate Vibhanshu Sudheer after he ordered an FIR against police over violence. Calling it arbitrary and alarming, the party said it undermines judicial independence. Congress urged the Supreme Court and Allahabad High Court to take suo-motu cognizance.
