NCP Alliance Talks Stall Ahead Of Pune Polls

Talks between the Sharad Pawar-led NCP (SP) and the Ajit Pawar-led ruling NCP over a possible alliance for the Pune civic polls have stalled. The ruling faction reportedly rejected the proposal to contest on separate party symbols. Civic elections across 29 Maharashtra municipal corporations, including Pune and Mumbai, are scheduled for January 15.
