DCM Pawan Highlights Mangroves As Coastal Protection Shield

AP Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan emphasized the vital role of mangrove forests as natural protectors of the coastline. Highlighting the state’s commitment to environmental conservation, he noted that 700 hectares of mangroves were added last year and set an ambitious target to increase green cover by 50%. Mangroves, he said, serve as a natural barrier against storms.
