Assam CM Confirms Shoot-at-Sight Orders Will Continue During Durga Puja

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed that night-time shoot-at-sight orders in Dhubri will stay during Durga Puja (Sept 28–Oct 2). Initially enforced after communal unrest in June, the directive aims to safeguard the Hindu minority. Over 150 arrests have been made since. Sarma warned of strict action against anyone attempting to disturb peace during the festival.
