Police Resort To Lathi Charge Amid Rival Sena Supporters Clash In Sambhajinagar

Police used a “mild” lathi charge outside the counting centre in Sillod, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, after supporters of rival Sena candidates clashed. The incident occurred around 5:45 PM as Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena candidate, Abdul Sattar, led by 2,420 votes against Suresh Bankar of Uddhav Thackeray’s faction. The situation was brought under control by authorities.
