Six Maoists, including senior leaders Urmila and Buchanna Kudiyam, were killed in an encounter with security forces in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh. Both carried ₹8 lakh bounties and were involved in major attacks and Maoist logistics operations. Weapons, explosives, and documents were seized. Police called it a major success in efforts to make Bastar Maoist-free.
