AP Govt Seeks Permanent Stay On Polavaram Stop-Work Orders

The AP govt is pushing to speed up the Polavaram project and has requested the Centre to grant a permanent stay on the Environment and Forest Department’s stop-work orders. Currently, the stay is valid only until June 2026. The Environment Ministry had issued the stop-work directive earlier following objections raised by Odisha and Chhattisgarh.
