The Congress asked the Maharashtra SEC to extend by 15 days the deadline for objections, citing major irregularities in the draft voters’ list. The party said many residents were missing from ward rolls and the objection process was overly complex. Shiv Sena (UBT) and MNS leaders separately met the SEC, seeking a 21-day extension.
