The Supreme Court criticised former Army Lieutenant Samuel Kamalesan for refusing to enter a gurdwara to perform puja, calling him a “misfit” and upholding his dismissal for indiscipline. Kamalesan claimed the order violated his Christian faith, but the Court said military ethos require respecting others’ religions. His plea was dismissed.
