Afghan FM Muttaqi’s India Tour Canceled Over UN Travel Ban

Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi’s planned visit to India was postponed due to an existing travel ban under UN Security Council sanctions. He could not secure a waiver, marking the second consecutive foreign trip blocked by these sanctions. This would have been the first ministerial visit from Kabul to India since the Taliban’s 2021 takeover.
