AP Cabinet Takes Key Steps On Capital & Courts

After a 3-hour meet, the AP cabinet made key decisions, including a resolution to formalize Amaravati as the state capital. The govt plans to amend Section 5 of the AP Reorganisation Act, 2014, replacing the reference to a capital with Amaravati. Also, approval was granted to establish 96 new junior and senior civil judge courts to strengthen judicial system.
