South Korea’s Former First Lady Sentenced To 20 Months For Corruption

Kim Keon-hee, wife of ousted South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol, was sentenced to 20 months in prison for bribery, receiving luxury gifts from the Unification Church in exchange for favors. Acquitted of stock manipulation and political funding charges, she has been jailed since August. The ruling comes weeks before Yoon’s rebellion trial.
