Folk Singer Maithili Becomes Bihar’s Youngest MLA

Folk singer Maithili Thakur, just 25, won the Alinagar seat in Bihar’s assembly polls, making her the youngest MLA ever elected in the state. She defeated RJD’s Binod Mishra by over 11,700 votes. Other MLAs aged 25 who won this election include Navin Kumar (Bathnaha), Shambu Babu (Supal), and Rajkumar Sada (Simri Bakhtiarpur).
