Punjab: FIRs Filed Over Casteist Social Media Posts Targeting CJI Gavai

Punjab Police registered multiple FIRs against casteist social media posts targeting Chief Justice BR Gavai, days after a failed shoe attack. The posts, deemed to incite communal hatred, violate SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act and Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Cyber Cell is working to remove such content from platforms, says Punjab government.
