Indians in the UAE will now receive chip-based e-passports under India’s new Global Passport Seva Programme. The upgraded system offers faster processing, enhanced security, RFID verification, and ICAO-compliant uploads. Applicants can complete forms in minutes, reapply via the new portal, and make minor corrections free. No biometric collection is required.
