The Karnataka govt has announced a people-centric safety initiative to prevent public inconvenience caused by drunk driving. Home Minister Parameshwara said police will drop intoxicated individuals home wherever possible. For others, 15 designated zones have been set up where they will remain under police supervision until they sober up, ensuring safety.
