Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) achieved a significant victory in Kerala’s by-elections, winning 17 out of 31 contested local self-governing wards. The Left Democratic Front (LDF) secured 11 seats, while the BJP won three. Prior to the by-elections, the LDF held 15 wards, the UDF had 13, and the BJP had three. This result marked a strong performance for the UDF in the polls.
