The Supreme Court has agreed to examine a plea challenging a Karnataka High Court ruling that quashed an FIR against two men for chanting ‘Jai Sri Ram’ inside a mosque. The bench questioned whether such chants could be considered an offense, while the complainant argued it violated religious sentiments and fueled communal tensions. The matter will be heard in January 2025.
