Union Home Minister Amit Shah has supported the 130th Amendment Bill, 2025. This bill includes a provision that the Prime Minister, Chief Ministers, and other Ministers who are in jail for 30 days or more for a serious offence will be removed from their posts. He also cited Kejriwal’s arrest in the liquor case and stated that if this law had been in place earlier, he would have had to resign.
