Women Passengers Can Now Choose Female Cab Drivers

In a big move to enhance women’s safety, especially during night travel, the central govt has permitted app-based cab services to offer a female-driver option for women passengers. Platforms such as Ola, Uber, and Rapido will enable this choice during booking, subject to driver availability, following directions issued by the Ministry of Road Transport.
