More than 100 police officers from Pakistan’s Punjab Police were dismissed after refusing to perform their duties during the Champions Trophy 2025. The officers were assigned to ensure security for teams but either failed to show up or declined the task. The dismissal follows heightened security concerns amidst the ongoing tournament. The Pakistan team was eliminated early.
