US has deployed the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system to Israel, enhancing its air defense capabilities, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin confirmed. He noted the system is “in place” and can be activated quickly. This deployment, along with 100 US soldiers, aims to support Israel amid escalating tensions with Iran following missile attacks.
