UP Man Poses As Army Officer, Arrested For Demanding ₹50,000

A man was arrested in Shahjahanpur for posing as an Army captain and demanding ₹50,000 from Chandan Lal, promising to secure the release of his imprisoned family members. Claiming to be a captain in the “NDA,” Ravi Kumar wore an Army uniform but became suspicious when Lal contacted the police. Upon questioning, Kumar admitted to being a cook and was subsequently arrested.
