Union Cabinet Approves 3% DA Hike For Govt Employees

On Wednesday, the Union Cabinet, led by PM Narendra Modi, approved a 3% increase in dearness allowance (DA) and dearness relief (DR) for Central government employees and pensioners, raising it from 50% to 53%. Effective from July 1, this hike provides relief ahead of Diwali. Additionally, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai announced a 4% DA increase for state employees, effective October 1.
