Taiwan detected a record 153 Chinese military aircraft around the self-governing island after China conducted large-scale drills. These aircraft were identified in a 25-hour period ending at 6:00 AM on Tuesday, according to the defense ministry. In response to Beijing’s encirclement involving fighter jets and warships, Taiwan heightened its alert and condemned China’s actions as provocative.
