The Supreme Court has begun testing live-streaming of regular hearings across all benches, with initial trials conducted on its own application. Currently, only constitution bench matters and significant public hearings are streamed. On the first day, around 800,000 viewers tuned in to watch. Chief Justice DY Chandrachud aims to enhance transparency in the judicial process through this initiative.
