South Korea Summons Russian Envoy Following North Korean Troop Deployment

South Korea summoned the Russian ambassador to criticize North Korea’s decision to send thousands of troops to support Moscow’s war in Ukraine. With about 1,500 North Korean special forces already in Russia, South Korea expressed grave concerns over the deployment, urging immediate withdrawal. The move follows a military deal signed by Kim Jong Un and Vladimir Putin in June.
