SC Stays Bankruptcy Proceedings For BYJU’S, Orders Payment Of ₹158.9 Crore To BCCI

The Supreme Court has stayed the NCLAT bench’s permission for the bankruptcy proceedings of popular edtech firm BYJU’S. It set aside the decision regarding pending bills of ₹158.9 crore owed by BYJU’S to the BCCI and ordered the company to deposit the full amount. BYJU’S, which was supposed to act as BCCI’s jersey sponsor until November 2023, withdrew from the agreement midway.
