Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud emphasized the importance of preserving the Supreme Court’s role as a people’s court while clarifying it should not act as an opposition in Parliament. Addressing the Supreme Court Advocates On Record Association conference in South Goa, he noted that access to justice developed over 75 years should not be overlooked, even as societies evolve.
