Sanjay Varma Is New DGP Of Maharashtra

Election Commission appointed Sanjay Verma, a 1990-batch IPS officer, as the new Director General of Police of Maharashtra. He will be replacing Rashmi Shukla who was transferred over phone-tapping claims on Monday (November 4). The poll body instructed the state government to comply with its order by 5 pm today. Verma is set to retire in April 2028.
