Nowhere in Ratan Tata’s business life was the word ‘bribery’ mentioned. An associate businessman informed Tata that he would need to pay a bribe of ₹15 crore to a minister regarding a business deal, leading him to reject the deal. When asked how he manages to stay away from corruption, Tata mentioned that he goes to bed each night knowing he has not engaged in any corrupt practices.
