Rajesh Kumar Singh Appointed As Defense Secretary

Rajesh Kumar Singh has officially assumed the role of Defense Secretary at South Block, New Delhi. He is a 1989-batch IAS officer from the Kerala cadre. Previously, he served as the Officer on Special Duty (Defense Secretary-designate) since August 20, 2024. On his first day in office, Singh paid tribute to the nation’s fallen heroes by laying a wreath at the National War Memorial in New Delhi.
