In September 2024, domestic wholesales of passenger vehicles declined to 355,000-360,000 units from 364,000 units last year, amid rising inventory. Maruti Suzuki saw a 3.88% drop in sales, while Hyundai’s volumes fell 5.79%. However, Mahindra & Mahindra reported a 23.74% increase, crossing 50,000 units for the first time. Tata Motors and Toyota Kirloskar had mixed results, with Tata’s sales dipping.
