Vegetable prices, including potatoes and onions, have surged in Odisha as consumers engage in panic buying in anticipation of an impending cyclone, traders reported. At Chhatra Bazaar in Cuttack, the price of potatoes jumped from ₹30 to ₹50 per kg, while onions increased from ₹40 to ₹60 per kg. Market is one of the largest vegetable hubs in the state, reflecting widespread concern among shoppers.
