A tragic road accident occurred in Bhavnagar district of Gujarat, where a private bus and a truck collided on the national highway. Six people were killed and 10 others were injured. The injured have been taken to the hospital for treatment. Upon receiving the information, the police reached the site, and an investigation is underway.

Opposition INDIA bloc MPs staged a protest in front of Parliament against the ongoing massacre of Hindus in Bangladesh. They displayed placards and handbags in support of minorities. Pavithra Gowda, an associate of Kannada actor Darshan, was released from Bengaluru Central Prison in the Renukaswamy murder case. Darshan, arrested in June, completed his bail formalities. The victim, Renukaswamy, was allegedly tortured and killed over obscene messages sent to Gowda. Darshan’s fans celebrated the bail announcement outside BGS Hospital, where he was hospitalized.
The Central government revealed that Life Insurance Corporation had unclaimed insurance compensation funds amounting to ₹880.93 crore, which matured in the last financial year.
