Over 1,55,000 candidates registered for the PM Internship Scheme within a day of its launch on Sunday. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced this initiative in this year’s budget. The primary aim of the scheme is to reduce youth unemployment by connecting young people with talent-seeking companies. So far, 193 companies have posted internship opportunities on the platform.
